śikharārthaṃ hi sūtrāṇi catvāri vinipātayet /
śukanāśordhvataḥ sūtraṃ tiryagbhūtaṃ nipātayet //
Indeed, for the sake of the spire, he should drop four plumb-lines; / above the antefix, he should drop a cord positioned obliquely.
