tanmandalakṣaṇā(3) strī syādrūpābhāvānnapuṃsakā /
dṛśyate maṇḍalaṃ yasyāṃ sagarbhāṃ tāṃ vivarjayet //
One with milder characteristics is feminine; in the absence of [either set of] characteristics, it is neuter. / One in which a circular mark is seen should be avoided as pregnant.
