bhagavānuvāca
piṇḍikālakṣaṇaṃ vakṣye dairghyeṇa pratimāsamā /
ucchrāyaṃ pratimārdhantu catuḥṣaṣṭipuṭāṃ(2) ca tām //
The Blessed Lord said: / I shall state the characteristics of the pedestal: it is equal to the image in length, / and its height is half of the image; it is divided into sixty-four compartments.
