bhagavānuvāca
ataḥ paraṃpravakṣyāmi pratimānāntu piṇḍikām /
dairghyeṇa pratimātulyā tadardhena tu vistṛtā //
The Lord said: / Hereafter I shall declare the pedestal of images. / It is equal in length to the image, and wide by half of that.
