takāraṃ gandhatanmātraṃ jaṅghayorviniveśayet /
ṇakāraṃ śrotrayor nyasya ḍhakāraṃ vinyasettvaci //
One should place the syllable 'ta', the subtle element of smell, in the two shanks;
having deposited the syllable 'ṇa' in the two ears, one should deposit the syllable 'ḍha' on the skin.
