patākānāṃ prakṛtiṃ viddhi daṇḍaṃ puruṣarūpiṇaṃ /
prāsādaṃ vāsudevasya mūrtibhedaṃ(1) nibodha me //
Know the banners to be Prakṛti, and the staff to have the form of Puruṣa; / understand from me that the temple is a manifestation of Vāsudeva's icon.
