Agni Purana 64.11

64.11

jyotiḥ sampūrayeddhaimyāṃ gurave gāmathārpayet /
samudrajyeṣṭhetyabhiṣiñcayedvaruṇaṃ pūrvakumbhataḥ //

He should fill [the eyes with] light using a golden [needle], and then give a cow to the guru.
He should consecrate Varuṇa with [the mantra] ‘samudrajyeṣṭhāḥ’ from the eastern jar;
