ārādhya devatāliṅgaṃ daśahastaṃ tu kūpake /
yūpaṃ yajñīyavṛkṣotthaṃ mūle haimaṃ phalaṃ nyaset //
Having worshipped the mark of the deity, [the post should be] ten cubits [long] in a well,
a sacrificial post made from a sacrificial tree; at its root he should place a golden fruit.
