tadabhyarcya ca gandhādyair jagacchāntiṃ samācaret /
dakṣiṇāṃ gurave dadyādbhūgohemāmbupātrakaṃ //
Having worshipped that with perfumes and the like, he should perform universal pacification;
he should give a sacrificial fee to the guru: land, a cow, gold, and a water-pot.
