yāgamaṇḍapamadhye syādvedikā kuṇḍamaṇḍitā /
toraṇaṃ vāruṇaṃ kumbhaṃ nyasecca karakānvitaṃ //
In the middle of the sacrificial pavilion there should be an altar adorned with a fire-pit;
one should erect a gateway, and deposit the jar of Varuṇa along with a pitcher.
