varuṇaṃ snānapīṭhe tu ye te śateti saṃspṛśet /
ghṛtenābhyañjayet paścānmūlamantreṇa deśikaḥ //
The master should touch Varuṇa upon the bathing pedestal with [the mantra] ‘ye te śataṃ’,
and afterwards anoint him with clarified butter using the basic mantra.
