bhagavānuvāca
jīrṇāddhāravidhiṃ vakṣye bhūṣitāṃ snapayedguruḥ(1) /
acalāṃ vinyasedgehe atijīrṇāṃ parityajet //
The Lord said: / I shall explain the procedure for restoring the dilapidated: The guru should bathe the adorned [image]; / if it is immovable, he should set it up in the shrine; if it is extremely decayed, he should discard it.
