caruṃ vai śrapayet tatra pāyasaṃ homayettataḥ /
abliṅgaiḥ(1) vaidikair mantraistīrthānāvāhayettataḥ //

There he should cook a sacrificial porridge, and then offer an oblation of milk-rice;
then he should invoke the sacred fords with Vedic mantras addressing the waters.
