aiśvara uvāca
gaṇapūjāṃ pravakṣyāmi nirvighnāmakhilārthadāṃ(1) /
gaṇāya svāhā hṛdayamekadaṃṣṭrāya vai śiraḥ //

The Lord said: / I shall describe the worship of the Gaṇa [chief], free of obstacles, bestowing all desires: / 'To the Gaṇa, svāhā' is the heart; 'to the Single-tusked One' is the head;
