japtaiḥ sadarbhaśaṅkhasthaiḥ siñcettaṃ vārivindubhiḥ /
sarvapākāgramuddhṛtya śivāya vinivedayet //
he should sprinkle it with drops of water recited over [the food] contained in a conch shell with darbha grass.
Taking the choice portion of all the cooked food, he should offer it to Śiva.
