vardhanyai vighnarājāya gurave hy ātmane yajet /
atha sarvauṣadhīliptaṃ dhūpitaṃ puṣpadūrvayā //
He should sacrifice unto the vardhanī pitcher, the lord of obstacles, the guru, and the Self. / Then, [taking] that which is smeared with all medicinal herbs, perfumed with incense, along with flowers and dūrvā grass,
