pūjite puṣpadhūpādyair datvā siddhāntapustake /
guroḥ pādāntikaṃ gatvā bhaktyā dadyāt pavitrakaṃ //
When it is worshipped with flowers, incense, and the like, offering [it] to the Siddhānta book, / and going near the feet of the guru, he should present the sacred thread with devotion.
