79.14

mūlaṃ layāntamuccārya dadyādgaṅgāvatārakaṃ(4) /
ātmavidyāśivaiḥ proktaṃ mumukṣūṇāṃ pavitrakaṃ //

uttering the basic mantra ending in dissolution, should offer the descent of the Gaṅgā. / The sacred thread is declared for those desiring liberation through the Self, knowledge, and Śiva;
