hṛdā tatsannidhānārthañjuhuyādāhutitrayaṃ /
śivahastasthiratvārthaṃ(2) śataṃ mūlena homayet /
itthaṃ samayadīkṣāyāṃ bhavedyogyo bhavārcane //

he should offer three oblations with the heart-mantra to bring about his presence. / To stabilize the Hand of Śiva, he should offer a hundred oblations with the root-mantra. / Thus, in the probationary initiation (samayadīkṣā), he becomes fit for the worship of Bhava (Śiva).
