mūlena tacchikhābandhaṃ pādāṅguṣṭhāntamānayet /
saṃhāreṇa mumukṣostu badhnīyācchiṣyakāyake //
he should draw down with the root mantra the binding of the tuft to the tip of the big toe; / with the dissolution [gesture], he should bind it upon the body of the disciple who desires liberation.
