svadakṣiṇordhvakāyasya śiṣyasyābhyarcitasya ca /
tacchikhāyāṃ nibadhnīyāt pādāṅguṣṭhāvalambitaṃ //
The disciple being seated to his own right, facing upwards, and having been worshipped, / he should bind [the cord] to his topknot, hanging down to the big toe of his foot.
