kumbhakena samādāya recakenodbhavākhyayā /
hṛtsampuṭanamo 'ntena vahniṃ kuṇḍe niveśayet //
Holding it by retention, and by exhalation with the gesture called Udbhava / and [the mantra] enclosed by the heart and ending in "namaḥ", he should deposit it in the fire in the fire-pit.
