nārada uvāca
sampātivacanaṃ śrutvā hanumānaṅgadādayaḥ /
abdhiṃ dṛṣṭvābruvaṃste 'bdhiṃ laṅghayet ko nu jīvayet //

Nārada said:
Having heard the words of Sampāti, Hanumān, Aṅgada and the others, / seeing the ocean, said: "Who indeed could cross the ocean? Who could save [our] lives?"
