bāhye rakṣogaṇāniṣṭvā vidhinā digbalaṃ kṣipet /
bhūmiṃ saṃsicya saṃsnāpya(1) kuddālādyaṃ(2) prapūjayet //
Having worshipped the hosts of demons outside, he should cast the directional offering according to rule
Having sprinkled and bathed the ground, he should worship the spade and other [tools].
