asthyaṅgārādibhirduṣṭāmatyantaṃ śodhayed guruḥ(5) //
The teacher should recognize that earth as excellent, or [test it] when sprinkled with water and the like
If corrupted with bones, charcoal, and the like, he should purify it thoroughly.
