modakān brahmaṇaḥ prācyāṃ ṣaṭpādāya marīcaye /
savitre raktapuṣpāṇi vahnyadhaḥkoṇakoṣṭhake //

One should offer sweet dumplings to Marīci, who occupies six squares to the east of Brahmā; / red flowers to Savitṛ in the square below the fire corner;
