īśvara uvāca
snātvā nityadvayaṃ kṛtvā(1) praṇavārghakaro guruḥ(2) /
sahāyair mūrtipair vipraiḥ(3) saha gacchenmakhālayaṃ //
The Lord said: / Having bathed and performed the two daily rites, holding the water offering with the praṇava in hand, the Guru / should go to the hall of sacrifice together with his Brahmin assistants, the attendants of the icons.
