ācāryaścāgnimutpādya pratikuṇḍaṃ pradāpayet(8) /
vahneḥ pūrvādikān bhāgān(9) pūrvakuṇḍāditaḥ(10) kramāt //
And the master, having produced the fire, should distribute it to each fire-pit, / into the portions of fire from the east onwards, in order starting from the eastern fire-pit.
