yathā nabhasi meghaugho reṇurvā pārthivo 'nile /
evaṃ draṣṭari dṛśyatvam āropitam abuddhibhiḥ //

31. Just as the clouds are mistaken for the sky, i.e. the qualities of the cloud are thought to be those of the sky and as the dust of the earth for the air ; so also the perceptible nature (of the gross world) is ascribed to the Seer (Supreme Being) by those who lack understanding .
