tvam ādyaḥ puruṣaḥ sākṣādīśvaraḥ prakṛteḥ paraḥ /
māyāṃ vyudasya cicchaktyā kaivalye sthita ātmani //
23. Thou art the First of all things, the Perfect Person, the Supreme Being; higher than Prakriti Thou standest in Thine own pure nature, having distanced Maya, (*i.e.*, unaffected by Maya) by the power of Thy wisdom.
