bhārāvatāraṇāyānye bhuvo nāva ivodadhau /
sīdantyā bhūribhāreṇa jāto hyātmabhuvārthitaḥ //

34. Some others say that, as prayed for by the four-faced Brahma, Thou hast appeared in the world to remove the burden of the earth, as from a vessel in the sea, groaning with excess of load.
