1.9.31

viśuddhayā dhāraṇayā hatāśubhas tadīkṣayaivāśu gatāyudhaśramaḥ /
nivṛttasarvendriyavṛttivibhramas tuṣṭāva janyaṃ visṛjañ janārdanam //

31. Bhishma, cleansed of all evil tendencies by pure meditation and concentration, soon ceased to feel the pain caused by weapons, on seeing Sri Krishna; and being free from the distraction of the senses, and intending to cast off the body, he praised Janardana (who puts an end to the series of births).
