/0 śrī-śuka uvāca
evaṃ sa sāmabhir bhedair bodhyamāno 'pi dāruṇaḥ /
na nyavartata kauravya puruṣādān anuvrataḥ //

46. Sri Suka said:— Though thus counselled in soft words, and with reasons for fear, the cruel Kamsa, who was addicted to the path of cannibals (Daityas), did not, O son of the Kuru race, change (his mind).
