tata utthāya sambhrāntā dahyamānā vrajaukasaḥ /
kṛṣṇaṃ yayus te śaraṇaṃ māyā-manujam īśvaram //
22. Then the residents of Vraja thus burnt awoke and, bewildered prayed for protection to Krishna, the Supreme Lord who was a man only at His will.
