evaṃ vāṃ tapyatos tīvraṃ tapaḥ parama-duṣkaram /
divya-varṣa-sahasrāṇi dvādaśeyur mad-ātmanoḥ //

36. Thus passed away a twelve thousand divine years as you were with a mind wholly devoted to Me: performing austere and most difficult tapas in that manner.
