upaguhyātmajām evaṃ rudatyā dīna-dīnavat /
yācitas tāṃ vinirbhartsya hastād ācicchide khalaḥ //
7. Sri Suka said:—(Though) thus entreated by Devaki who cried like a most helpless creature, pressing the child to her bossom, the ruffian threatened her and snatched away the child from her hands.
