ekadāroham ārūḍhaṃ lālayantī sutaṃ satī /
garimāṇaṃ śiśor voḍhuṃ na sehe giri-kūṭavat //

18. On a certain day, fondling the child on her lap the virtuous Yasoda felt herself unable to support the weight of the child, as if it were that of a mountain crest.
