/0 śrī-vasudeva uvāca
amba māsmān asūyethā daiva-krīḍanakān narān /
īśasya hi vaśe lokaḥ kurute kāryate 'tha vā //
21. Vasudeva said:— Mother, do not find fault with us— us who are mortals and toys in the hands of God. The world does indeed act under the control of the Supreme Ruler, i. e. it is made to act.
