iti tad-vacanaṃ śrutvā vasudevo mahā-manāḥ /
tān ṛṣīn ṛtvijo vavre mūrdhnānamya prasādya ca //

42. Sri Suka said:—On hearing their words Vasudeva of worthy ideas bowed his head to them, and begged them for grace and requested them to be his Ritvicks (priests in the sacrifices).
