snāto 'laṅkāra-vāsāṃsi vandibhyo 'dāt tathā striyaḥ /
tataḥ sv-alaṅkṛto varṇān ā-śvabhyo 'nnena pūjayat //

54. After ablutions he gave ornaments and clothes to the bards, and his women also distributed gifts, then well-adorned he propitiated with foodall the castes of people, including the animals down to dogs.
