/0 śrī-sanandana uvāca
sva-sṛṣṭam idam āpīya śayānaṃ saha śaktibhiḥ /
tad-ante bodhayāṃ cakrus tal-liṅgaiḥ śrutayaḥ param //
12. Sanandana said:— When the Supreme Lord had swallowed up all this creation of His and along with His powers lay quiet, as it were in sleep, Śrutis, the deities presiding over them at the end of that period, awakened Him with hymns that properly describe Him,
