/0 śrī-uddhava uvāca
vidanti martyāḥ prāyeṇa viṣayān padam āpadām /
tathāpi bhuñjate kṛṣṇa tat kathaṃ śva-kharāja-vat //

8. Uddhava said:— Mortals generally know the objects as the source of evil, O Krishna, how is it that they, like the dog, the ass and the goat (sheep) take to them (seek after enjoyment)?
