tena proktā sva-putrāya manave pūrva-jāya sā /
tato bhṛgv-ādayo 'gṛhṇan sapta brahma-maharṣayaḥ //

4. And that speech was imparted by Brahma to his first son Manu and from Manu Bhrigu and other great Brahma Rishis, seven in number, learnt it.
