saṅkhyāne saptadaśake bhūta-mātrendriyāṇi ca /
pañca pañcaika-manasā ātmā saptadaśaḥ smṛtaḥ //

22. When it is spoken of as seventeen the five Bhutas, the five objects, the five senses, and the one mind, and Atman is taken as the seventeenth.
