/0 śrī-bhagavān uvāca
guṇānām asammiśrāṇāṃ pumān yena yathā bhavet /
tan me puruṣa-varyedam upadhāraya śaṃsataḥ //
1. The Lord said:— How man is affected severally by the gunas when they are not mixed up with one another, I shall tell thee, O best of men: carefully listen to it.
