draṣṭuḥ svarūpāviduṣo yo 'haṃ yad ajitendriyaḥ //

17. What wrong was done to us by her? It is I that had no control over my senses? Or what wrong is done by the rope to one who, in ignorance of its nature, takes it for a serpent?
