Bhagavatapurana 11.28.28

11.28.28

yathāmayo 'sādhu cikitsito nṛṇāṃ punaḥ punaḥ santudati prarohan /
evaṃ mano 'pakva-kaṣāya-karma kuyoginaṃ vidhyati sarva-saṅgam //

28. Just as a disease not properly treated with medicines again and again begins to grow and afflict men, so the mind, full of karma produced by passions which are not completely burnt out and full of attachments to everything, brings about the fall of one who has not properly attained wisdom.
