yaṃ yaṃ vāñchati sā rājan tarpayanty anukampitā /
taṃ taṃ samanayat kāmaṃ kṛcchreṇāpy ajitendriyaḥ //
56. As she gave him satisfaction and enlisted his sympathy, whatever she desired, he obtained for her at any cost, for he had no control over his senses.
