yāvat sa pāda-padmābhyāṃ spṛśan āste ramā-patiḥ /
tāvat kalir vai pṛthivīṃ parākrantuṃ na cāśakat //

30. So long as the Lord of Lakshmi touched the earth with His lotus-like feet, (so long) Kali was not able to encroach upon the earth.
