rājann ete mayā proktā nara-devās tathāpare /
bhūmau mamatvaṃ kṛtvānte hitvemāṃ nidhanaṃ gatāḥ //
40. O king! these and other rulers of men mentioned by me were actuated by (motives of) “my and mine”, left (this earth) in the end and were destroyed.
